Senior Business Development Manager

Peratera is a UK-based fintech company, founded in 2022 and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI).

We are building a modern, all-in-one payments platform designed to help businesses manage global payments and financial operations seamlessly. Our current offering focuses on IBAN accounts and payment solutions, with ambitious plans to expand our product offering, capabilities and regulatory licences as we grow.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Representative to originate and develop new business opportunities across our target markets.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands payments and wants to own their pipeline end to end. You will have direct access to the people who make the decisions and no layers to work through.

The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Preferred background: selling IBAN account and payment solutions within fintech, EMI or payments businesses.

• Generate new business opportunities across target customer segments.
• Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound activity, networking and industry relationships.
• Engage senior stakeholders and understand their payments, account and IBAN requirements.
• Present Peratera's proposition clearly and commercially.
• Qualify opportunities based on commercial potential, customer fit and requirements.
• Manage opportunities from initial engagement through the commercial sales process.
• Work closely with product, compliance and operations where required.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity information within the CRM.
• Build long-term relationships with prospects, partners and customers.
• Provide market feedback on customer requirements, competitors and new opportunities.

• 3+ years' business development or sales experience within payments, fintech, banking or an EMI.
• Strong preference for direct experience selling IBAN and payment solutions.
• Good understanding of payment flows, account products and the wider payments ecosystem.
• Proven ability to originate opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
• Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and commercial decision-makers.
• Commercially minded with strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently in an early-stage, fast-moving environment.
• Existing payments and fintech relationships are highly desirable.
• Experience or an existing network in sectors such as: iGaming, foreign exchange, forex,  remittance, payments or financial institutions. You do not need to have covered all of them.
